SAVE ON THIS HOLIDAY SPECIAL$ Session 1-Beginning Sewing Class: You will have : (4-Weeks: 2 hours) to learn: Learn to sew with this four-part course: You’ll be taught all the basics you need to know and will also assist you in creating your own unique pieces. In session 1, you’ll learn the essentials and complete your very own bag, pajama pants, pillow, or other project to demonstrate your new found skills. You'll receive a certificate of completion when finished. Join us and unleash your inner fashion designer skills. **You are responsible for providing your own fabric, sewing machine (if you have one -there’s a classroom machine if needed) and basic essentials for sewing class. Class 1. Go over the basic essentials needed for sewing: sewing machine, scissors, sewing machine needles (various sizes), seam ripper, thread, sewing pins, bobbins and material for your creation. Sewing machine basics: Learn your machine parts. Learn to thread your machine properly. Learn the proper way of threading your bobbin and how to control the speed of the machine with your foot petal on paper guides. Class 2. Learn to sew: By using what you’ve learned about foot petal control use paper guide or fabric to practice sewing (the foot will guide the paper/fabric no need to force it). Sew on paper guides by learning how to sew straight lines, squares, curves and pivoting while getting comfortable with your sewing machine. Learn to keep all seam together and use the 5/8 seam allowance by using guide plate. Applying everything learned you will select a easy pattern for your creation of (tote bag, pillow, pajama pant, or TBA), learn to cut it out, apply fabric and cut pattern pieces to get ready to sew. Class 3. Applying everything you've learned you will continue working on your project. Class 4. Complete project. GRADUATE and receive YOUR COMPLETION CERTIFICATE.
